Sinking

Singking
I'm sinking
To the bottom of an endless pond
Which edges I cannot reach nor see

How did I get here?
Was my first question
For I thought it was a pond
Not a never ending salt water ocean

Maybe it is a mere trick of the mind?
Or perhaps a trick of the eyes?
For what I can see and what my mind describes
Are neither same or sane

Should I just try and find the bottom of this ocean?
Maybe then I can decide which is right
My mind
Or my eyes

Maybe then
I can find my missing heart
